The Tamarancho Dirt Classic is on hiatus for 2011, and we hope to bring you another event in June of 2012.
Logistics, timing and resources have resulted in this year’s TDC event not getting past the early planning stages, so we are taking off a year. We had a very successful race in 2010 but want to remix several things about the event and did not have the time with the limited staff we have, so we decided to shelve this year’s event and get a good long head start for 2012.
Simply put, we want the most unique race in Marin — the only XC race in the county — to be even better than it was in 2010, and that takes a lot of planning, time and resources.

An event of this size takes a great number of people contributing time, effort, expertise and many goods, services and financial contributions (sponsorships) are needed to make this fundraiser happen.
We will be looking for ways to support the racers even more, get more spectators to the event, reconfigure the race course, streamline the registration area, timing, prize coordination and more. And we will be looking to bring on more paid sponsors for exposure and booth space, perhaps including a title sponsor.
